Fire equipment and system emergency service you can depend on 24/7
Fire emergencies can be stressful events, especially when occupant safety is at risk, while the physical, technical and logistical impacts on buildings can be broad ranging.
Melbourne Fire and Maintenance, based in Yarraville, is known for first-rate, fast-response emergency support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency fire equipment maintenance that restores fire protection assets to fully operational, standby status.
In the event of a fire, our service technicians may perform emergency fire equipment servicing including a system reset, equipment checking and repairs after the fire brigade has safely secured the building. Other types of incidents can also occur. Perhaps a sprinkler head is knocked causing water to release, water penetrates the alarm system causing a warning signal, emergency and exit lighting shuts down due to a fault, or dust penetrates a smoke detector causing an alarm call.
We treat emergencies with the utmost priority and importance. Our technical experts will attend rapidly and perform the necessary tasks to give you peace of mind that your building and occupants are once again safely protected.
Fire alarm isolation and de-isolation for emergency repairs
Performing emergency (or scheduled) repairs can require the isolation and de-isolation of alarms and other fire protection devices. Isolations occur for the minimum time and can be performed for specific zones or circuits via the Fire Indicator Panel (FIP) which is the preferred method. Or if necessary, an entire isolation of Alarm Signalling Equipment (ASE) can be performed. Isolation means any repair work must be carried out promptly to minimise the time that fire protection equipment and systems are disabled. Isolations can require Fire Brigade approval which we can assist to arrange.
